Was reading a novel, which contained an extract from a William Blake novel that read " your present defines your past and your future". Think on that deeply. I recently experienced a business failure. My present could be " what a disaster, I failed, I am going to go and find a job " or it could be " look at the lessons I have learned, I am so much better equiped for my next venture. What a learning experience". Therefore my present interpretation of the past, defines both my past and my future.

***author response
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Mr Blake must have his own reason. I may not agree but I respect it. My opinion on this is:
If you failed in something like your past business venture, it doesn't mean that you cannot be the best businessman in the future. As you have said, you have two choices...you can choose to charge it to experience or let past failure swallow you whole... its you who will decide. So its you who will define your future... and your past can't do anything about it. Nothing in this world is definite to define something that is yet unknown.
