We are different people with different responsibilities, situations, needs and goals in life. But I am prettty sure that no matter what we have in life, we want to stretch the day to be able to finish all our tasks and responsibilities without giving up anything. We want and have to balance everything to be able to give the right amount of time for our work, families and personal needs. But like any other things in the world… this is easier said than done.

And to help you make the most out of your time… I will be giving a few pointers of things that you can consider to be able to successfully make your day.

  • Keep a list of things that you should do. It is important that you know the things that you have to do. Make a list. This will help you manage your time well. Write the most important task first… then the next…and the last be the least thing to do.
  • Divide the list into two. You can divide the things that you have to do into two. The first part is the priority list. The one that you have to accomplish no matter what. While the second part, is the thing that is less important.
  • Save time. Now that you have your list… it is time to start working. Your goal this time is to accomplish your task quicker but efficient. So you will save time and finish things faster. If it is possible, you can do multi-tasking. You can sweep the floor while waiting for your food to boil… or clean your kitchen your laundry area while waiting for the washing machine to finish its turn. This way you will save time. Just don’t forget to check the things on your list that you already accomplished.
  • Completing the task. If by chance you won’t be able to finish some of your task… don’t forget to put it in the note for tomorrow’s work. Think if it should be added for the day’s task or if its not taht important, you can consider adding it during the day you know you won’t be doing much. Just dont forget to write a note about it, because chances are… you will forget the things undone.

I hope these tips will help you in managing your time.

    Nice tips.

If you’d like a tool for managing your time and projects, you can use this application inspired by David Allen’s GTD:

    http://www.Gtdagenda.com

You can use it to manage and prioritize your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, schedules and a calendar.
A mobile version is available too.
