Are you afraid of starting a new career because you believe you are inexperienced and do not have the knowledge to succeed?

Most people have goals and dreams to achieve yet they do not achieve it in a level that they want to. You can usually hear built-in excuses that they use in holding back. Truth is, underlying this excuse is what we call fears or worries. Fear is a kind of emotion that perceives threat. The threat may be real of not, but because of fear, it may seem real. Worry is a thought or concern of a negative nature usually personal.

Getting over fear and worry is not easy, though it is not impossible. Working on identifying fear can help in easing this emotion. If you know your fear and the reason behind it, you will find ways to get over it easily. If you already know your fear, then the next step is to think if it’s real or the possibility of becoming real. Think if you can do something to prevent that from happening. Accept the worst possible scenario, and tell yourself that you can handle it repeatedly.

Finally, realize that life is too short. Do something! Take positive action plan of what you need to do to turn things around. Focus on positive outlook and changes.

I know at times, there are some decisions that we would do that may be slightly against what we should do. I think in terms of decision making, there is no exact formula. One would go according to his personality, beliefs, thoughts and personal views in making this decision. It may sound silly for the others, idiot for some, senseless for the majority but the truth is, we all have our own reasons even if others would say that it is wrong.

Back in college, I remember asking 10 different people about their thoughts of child abortion. 5 of them said no to abortion, 3 said yes, and 2 said it depends. I expected them to have different opinion of course, but their reason in regards with their answer surprised me. They were contradicting with the others opinion but they all got their point. Before reading the answers to the class, he asked me to give a short details of the 10 people I have interviewed. He then asked my classmates, who they think would give the most common and senseless answer. My classmates answered the 16 year old out of school bystander in the community. but in their surprise, his answer is this…” Ok lang kung di ko kaya, kasi kung wala akong ipapakain at lalaki lang syang tulad ko na kinakahiya ang sarili nya at magulang nya baka pasalamatan pa nya ko na pinalaglag ko sya.” (its ok, because if I can’t feed him, send him to good school and he will grow up like me feeling shameful for his self and his parents, he may thank me for aborting him) As I finished reading the answers and reasons loudly in the class, my professor gave my classmates a chance to comment,on who they think answered it senselessly, no comments heard. But when he asked who they think is right, the buzzing sound of debate was heard all over the place.

So that’s it. We all have opinions, and these opinions may be in one way or another opposing others opinion. And just as we think that we are right, they are thinking otherwise. There is nothing we can do about it, we are facing the different sides of the world and we are seeing it in different angles. Of course, we have a solid list of right and wrong but sometimes this right and wrong has a “but” in between and that makes it complicated.

I know some of you would not agree with me, but like what I’ve said, that is the way it has to be. So just the way I wanted my opinion to be respected, I might as well respect yours too because that’s the way it should be is when it’s the best thing to do.

I know most of us right now is in a middle of something. As we are facing our own battle, pain and struggles, sometimes it is hard to see the silver lining. I myself have faced different problems. I’ve been cheated, I’ve been dumped, I’ve been hurt and once lost. I almost felt like giving up. I’ve seen my dreams falling apart right before my eyes, yet there is nothing I can do to save it.

I was never perfect, and I know I will never be. I’ve lacked a lot of things that should have made me a girl of every man’s dream. I’m missing a lot of aspects that should have made ideal. But I learned to embrace my imperfection as a part of me. I have learned that patience is a virtue that everyone needs tolearn. And the fruit is sweet and far better than expected.

I’ve made mistakes more than a hundred times. But instead of soaking myself to regret and hatred, I decided to forgive myself and the others who hurt me. I’ve learned from every down fall and broken pieces, I’ve retrieve myself from the mud of self pity and anger. Forgiveness and acceptance are two things that is hard to learn, but the only two things that will make us whole again.

As we are facing our battles in different degrees, it is better to remember hat the goal in every fight is to remain standing no matter what. No matter how painful, no matter how fearful the fight may be. Life is good and you must succeed. Look at the people around you, carefully watching your every move. Silently praying that you make it. Look at your friends, your family and all the people you love, they are your blessings and life; the reason to stand up against every fight.

Learn to see life in different perspective. See the beauty that surrounds you. Feel the love and support, see the light and the hope. In the end you will see, life is worth fighting for.

Everyone of us experienced pain in the past. There is no exemptions to that. Things happen whether we like it or not, prepared or not. And there are times that we cannot do anything about it…but to accept. Some will say… it is meant to be. (destiny is the exact word for it)
Perhaps what people failed to understand in life is that, “Our life, is our choice.” There are times in our lives that situations can bring us down, if we allow them. They can crush us and bring us under the enormity of depression and despair that resides in our insecurities, loneliness and any other myriad of negative life situations. What we choose to do with our life because of these situations is really up to us. We can use it as an excuse to shield ourselves from being hurt, from trying, from attaching ourselves to others, from trusting others and so on…In everything that we do… we can put the blame on it. IT IS OUR CHOICE.I could list the number of times that I felt a lot of depressions in life. I experienced before and after the age of 18….from childhood up to now. But it probably wouldn’t do any good and I am well beyond the necessity of revelation therapy. Therefore, no matter what it is that you have in your past that troubles you, it’s up to you how you deal with it. There are people who have been abused become abusive themselves. While others made a conscious efforts to avoid following the paths that were taught to them. Though we cannot expect people to react 100% right, it’s imperative that we look at it from another perspective. In what group would you want to belong? Are you willing to devote time into relearning the correct ways to handle emotion? The key word in both these questions is YOU; because “Your life, is Your choice!” It makes me sigh when my friends excuse their negative actions and beliefs on, “Well, it runs to my family.” It doesn’t matter what kind of family you have, what matters is how you choose to do with that experience. Will you wallow in self pity and contentment because your family did, or will you look at those situations as if they are ways for you to learn and improve? Life’s hard. We can’t change the whole world. When something happens, there’s nothing you can do about it, there’s no way to change it. All you can do is learn and grow. You’ll be amaze to see how your life…how your future can change if you want it to be.

I have watched different versions of the tv series Ugly Betty a.k.a Betty La Fea or I love Betty La Fea (the latter is the Filipino version). For me, it is a good story. Although there are different versions and story line, it only portrait one thing… Beauty is not everything.

I am not saying this because I am against beauty. Beauty is beauty… good as you see it. What I am trying to say is that although beauty is a one big factor, there are many things that matter more than beauty does. It is just fine to enhance ourself to look more beautiful and gain self confidence, but for those who cannot afford to… it doesn’t mean you can’t stand out from the rest.

Beauty also comes from within… it is the balance of what is in you. It is not perfection, but the balance of every detail in you. Beauty is skin deep….

The first question here is, "How do you see others and yourself?" Do you see yourself lesser or greater than others? And are you happy by the way you see both?

The first question here is, “How do you see others and yourself?” Do you see yourself lesser or greater than others? And are you happy by the way you see both?

Sometimes, one can become so envy that he almost wish that he is someone else because he envy what others have. Sometimes, one can feel angry because of someone who seems to be different from him. And sometimes, one can feel jealous towards a person who holds power, wealth, brain or beauty just because he thinks that he is lesser and simply he is undeserving and not qualified. Are you one of them?

Have you ever been an average student and wish you were someone like your gifted classmate? Have you ever wished you were as rich as you classmate and manage to have the things that he have? Have you ever felt uncomfortable and irritated because you are dealing with people whom you think is lesser than you?You know yourself better and you know if you’ve felt something like this.

It may not be easy to eliminate this kind of feelings but with right perspective, you can lessen this negative attitudes.

One thing you should remember is that as individuals, we are given different characteristics, beliefs, talents and principles. We should learn to respect the way we want others to respect us. Having a perspective that you know that difference is not a hindrance for a good relationship between you and other people no matter the beliefs and status in life, is the key to achieve a healthy outlook in life.

We are different people with different responsibilities, situations, needs and goals in life. But I am prettty sure that no matter what we have in life, we want to stretch the day to be able to finish all our tasks and responsibilities without giving up anything. We want and have to balance everything to be able to give the right amount of time for our work, families and personal needs. But like any other things in the world… this is easier said than done.

And to help you make the most out of your time… I will be giving a few pointers of things that you can consider to be able to successfully make your day.

Keep a list of things that you should do. It is important that you know the things that you have to do. Make a list. This will help you manage your time well. Write the most important task first… then the next…and the last be the least thing to do.

Divide the list into two. You can divide the things that you have to do into two. The first part is the priority list. The one that you have to accomplish no matter what. While the second part, is the thing that is less important.

Save time. Now that you have your list… it is time to start working. Your goal this time is to accomplish your task quicker but efficient. So you will save time and finish things faster. If it is possible, you can do multi-tasking. You can sweep the floor while waiting for your food to boil… or clean your kitchen your laundry area while waiting for the washing machine to finish its turn. This way you will save time. Just don’t forget to check the things on your list that you already accomplished.

Completing the task. If by chance you won’t be able to finish some of your task… don’t forget to put it in the note for tomorrow’s work. Think if it should be added for the day’s task or if its not taht important, you can consider adding it during the day you know you won’t be doing much. Just dont forget to write a note about it, because chances are… you will forget the things undone.

I hope these tips will help you in managing your time.
