Nowadays, hundreds of diseases can be caught by skin contact. If you are familiar with N1H1, you probably know what I’m talking about. But we can’t refrain ourselves or our kids from holding and touching objects found in public places, where germs can mostly be found. So taking an extra precautions is not a bad thing. Washing your hands with soap and better is the best way to keep the germs at bay. But as we all know, it is not always possible.  Wherever we go, esp when we are with the family, it is better to bring hand sanitizer to sanitize our hands whenever we don’t have access to soap and water. There are many kinds of hand sanitizer products you can find in the market. The best are those with... [more]

You must have heard a couple of times that your eyes are the windows to your soul. Whatever you have deep within you esp those strong emotions, your eyes show it all. But what about actors and actress who are trained to act, can they fake the reflections you see in their eyes. How true is this saying? Is this applicable to all? When can you tell that what you see is true? The answer is simple, is it based on how you know the person. Your judgment whether what you see is real is more likely to be true when you really know the person. They can try, they can fool others, but not you. You will always have the feeling if it is genuine or not. I know the most effective people who can say that this is true, are the parents.... [more]

I know most of us right now is in a middle of something. As we are facing our own battle, pain and struggles, sometimes it is hard to see the silver lining. I myself have faced different problems. Last Saturday, I was shocked when I watched the news on tv. Manila was hit by typhoon. Most of my relatives are in Manila. Even some Filipino actors and actresses were affected by the typhoon and they stayed on top of their roof. I took my cellphone and started sending sms to my friends and relatives. Until now, some places in Metro Manila are still flooded. Last June 2008, we were also hit by strong typhoon and I know how it feels being in that situation. Watching the news and seeing how terrible the situation is, brings back some memories. Donation flooded from different people and groups around the world: foods, clothes, water, school supplies for kids and medicine were distributed. It was a heart touching moment... [more]

Do you believe in a word such luck? I know some will say it’s true while others will say its not. Luck is something like in joining a raffle draw… and out of the million people joining, you will be the lucky winner…that is luck. But being hired in a job… that is something different. You are the one making your luck. You have to compete with the other applicants, you have to show your best self, you have to show all your credentials just to prove you are worthy. Now, I think it is easier to see the difference between the two. Actually, the important thing is you know how to manage luck… no matter what kind of luck you have.
